Mentioned on "Using Joomla!"
JoomlaPack - the predecessor to Akeeba Backup - is mentioned in the best Joomla! book of the year, “Using Joomla!” by Ken Crowder and Ron Severdia. But, please, read on - we also have an exclusive members-only offer!
JoomlaPack on Joomanuals
Joomanuals has recently began offering an opt-in JoomlaPack section in the manuals generated by their on-line Joomla! manual generation service. The JoomlaPack section consists of the basic information your clients need to know in order to successfully produce a current full site backup utilizing JoomlaPack.
Don't you know Joomanuals? It's a Joomla! manual generation service (English and German) by Lagoona. Trust me when I say that it's the nirvana of Joomla! site builders. You pay a small amount upfront, fill in a short questionnaire-like form and it generates a Joomla! site manual tailored to the site you have created for your client. What's more, it has a lot of screenshots and it even adds your company's logo on the pages. That's what a professional user's guide to a Joomla! site should really look like!
Note: JoomlaPack.net is not affiliated with Joomanuals or Lagoona. The JoomlaPack section of Joomanuals is not endorsed or sponsored by JoomlaPack.net. This is not an advertisement, either. We find their service interesting and useful and we wanted to share it with you.
What's going on with good ol' JoomlaPack?
Some of you may have already received our latest newsletter, some others may have viewed a copy of it on-line. Or, maybe, you have seen it on a Twitter reply to Alledia. The truth is, JoomlaPack will be changing its name to Akeeba Backup and bring a lot of changes and new services to the project.
2.4 Stable
JoomlaPack 2.4 Stable is released. Major improvements in the backup engine.
JoomlaPack gives Santa Claus an early welcome
This month was very busy with development. My goal for JoomlaPack 2.4 was more than just fix outstanding bugs; my goal was to make JoomlaPack usable in more server environments and give you more power. This post describes what JoomlaPack's very own Santa Claus has in its bags for December 2009
JoomlaPack and security solutions
Phew! Long time since my last blog post. Truth be told, I was very busy with producing JoomlaPack 2.4.b1, the video tutorials and some other projects I am currently working on. Since you waited so long to hear from me, let me give you a nice, short, useful piece of information. I'm going to discuss why many of you get HTTP 403 "Forbidden" error messages and how to work around them!
The new JoomlaPack site and blog
July 2009 is the month of major changes in the JoomlaPack.net site. Not only we are working on the next release of JoomlaPack (2.3), but we also upgraded our site to help us better support you.
