Akeeba Remote Control

Akeeba Remote Control allows you to backup your site without even logging into it, simply using a desktop program. It can even backup multiple sites at the same time, downloading the backup files to your local disk when done. You can even use it as a portable application on a USB thumb drive!

Akeeba Remote Control is a native Windows™ application. If you want to use it on Linux™ or Mac OS X™ you will need to install WINE or DarWINE respectively. It's easy to do and we absolutely support this kind of installations.

This is the stable branch of Akeeba Remote Control, the successor of the JoomlaPack Remote desktop software. It contains site plug-ins which support either JoomlaPack or Akeeba Backup; you must chose only one of them. Otherwise, it is functionally equivallent to JoomlaPack Remote.
