Akeeba SiteDiff

Akeeba SiteDiff is a security-minded native Windows™ application which allows you to compare two backup archives and report which files have been added, removed or modified, based on the calculation of an industry-standard MD5 sum for each file. It can be a life saver in identifying potentially hacked sites, long before you notice the side effects of the hacker's actions.

If you want to use it on Linux™ or Mac OS X™ you will need to install WINE or DarWINE respectively. It's easy to do and we absolutely support this kind of installations.
