Akeeba eXtract Wizard 3.5 is now compatible with JPS (encrypted archives) generated by all versions of Akeeba Backup 3.x, 4.x and 5.x. Moreover it brings improved Unicode filename handling and 64-bit builds for all platforms.

Please note that this release was built against Ubuntu Linux 16.04 (for the Linux version) and Mac OS X El Capitan (for the Mac OS X version). It has not been tested with older versions of the Linux and Mac OS X operating systems. If the application doesn't start, please contact us and let us know.

Changelog

+ Support for newer JPS archive format introduced in Akeeba Backup 4.7
+ Windows icon progress bar (Windows 7 and later)
+ 64-bit builds for all three supported operating systems

Important: This version is tested with backup archives produced by Akeeba Backup 4.7.0 or later. Even though it should work with all backup archives generated by Akeeba Backup 3.1.4 and later, we have not tested that and we can not be absolutely certain that extraction of older backup archives will succeed.

Moreover, this has been tested only on Windows 10, Ubuntu Linux 16.04 and Mac OS X El Capitan (and the beta version of macOS Sierra). It should be compatible with Windows XP or later, Ubuntu Linux 14.04 or later and Mac OS X Lion or later. Since testing was not possible on these platforms we cannot guarantee compatibility with these versions.

Akeeba eXtract Wizard 3.3 solves a major issue extracting JPS (encrypted archives), as well as a pesy bug which would cause the application to state that the archive is invalid after having successfully extracted a ZIP archive.

Please note that this release was built against Ubuntu Linux 11.04 (for the Linux version) and Mac OS X Lion (for the Mac OS X version). It has not been tested with older versions of the Linux and Mac OS X operating systems. If the application doesn't start, please contact us and let us know.

Changelog

# Invalid archive error message after successfully extracting a ZIP archive
# Could not extract JPS archives, despite entering the correct password

Important: This version is tested with backup archives produced by Akeeba Backup 3.2.6 or later. Even though it should work with all backup archives generated by Akeeba Backup 3.1.4 and later, we have not tested that and we can not be absolutely certain that extraction of older backup archives will succeed.
