Pierre,

There is no log entry kept for a restoration process.

I'll flag the ticket for Nicholas and Davide. They are traveling right now so it will be next week before they get a chance to think about it.

Nicholas got back to me over the weekend but he's still traveling today.
It’s a chicken and egg issue, that’s why it can’t happen. The restoration overwrites all tables, including the log table. We’d have to update the last backup entry after restoration which is problematic. It works with Akeeba Backup for Joomla and WordPress but not with Solo. However, all products use the same installer. Therefore the process could fail or, worse, overwrite information I the #__ak_stats table not belonging to us. We’d have to add special information during backup. And it creates the obvious problem that restoring an old backup doesn’t update the table which will be a constant source of bug reports for YEARS. It’s easier for the users interested in that to just keep a note of when they last restored a backup.

Hi,

thank you for your new answer... I understand your technical problem.

an idea perhaps : when restoring, why not sending an email to the administrator ?

Best regards

A good idea but we use the email functions built into Joomla! and WordPress for notifications. We would have to create a stand alone mail function for the backup program.

UNiTE does have an email function on completion, but I don't think that would work for your needs.
