 Just tried to do the Admin Tools update and get the following message:

Downloading the update package failed. Make sure that your temp-directory is writable or that you have enabled Joomla!'s FTP options in your site's Global Configuration.

So far as I am aware none of the settings on my site have changed since I did the update to Akeeba Backup 3.10.2 yesterday. That appeared to work ok, so what has changed?

Akeeba backup and tools are brilliant when they work - but I seem to have spent a lot of time today trying to cope when they don't!

Hello Alan,

can you please turn on the FTP layer inside the configuration page and try again to install the extension?
If this time it's installed, it means that there is a permission issue and we will try to search a solution for that.
