 Hi,
I've got problems entering my download ID in AAT 2.6.2.
I open Options, enter ID and then AAT seems somewhat "frozen". Neiter I can save, interrupt, or save and exit this page. Only can choose another admin page to get rid of the options page.
Re-visiting options reveales, that no ID has been saved.
Can you help?
Thanks in advance
kind regards
Armin

This page is actually displayed and managed by Joomla! itself, namely Joomla!'s com_config component. I suspect that you have hit a bug in Joomla!. Can you modify the Options of any other component, e.g. a core component like the User Manager?

Hi Nicholas,
thanks for your super-speed-reaction.
Indeed you are right. Can't handle any options page of my joomla installation (articles, users etc.).
Same effect: Options page appears to be frozen and can't be saved, interrupted or anything.
So I think your suggestion regarding a joomla bug may be right.
Unfortunately I haven't any experience in handling joomla bugs. What should I do?
kind regards

Hello Armin,

This bug should have been fixed in 3.2.3. I suspect that your update didn't quite work, i.e. some of the files were not replaced. Luckily, we have a solution (even though it's still in "alpha" testing stage). Please download the latest release of Akeeba CMS Update from https://www.akeebabackup.com/downloads/cmsupdate/1-0-a3.html and install it on your site. You should see a button to reinstall Joomla! 3.2.3. Click on it and follow the instructions on your screen. It will refresh all Joomla! core files. Then please clear your browser's cache (this is important) and retry editing the Options on your components.

Hi Nicholas,
again many thanks for your attempt to help.
Meanwhile I have been busy trying to fix this annoying issue, but to be honest: at the moment I'm in a complete mess.
Have restored an earlier Akeeba Backup with Joomla 3.2.2 on my site successfully.
But: guess what: the error remained untouched, still no options change possible an still no working CW multicats.
Now I'm really lost. Are there any files that remain untouched during the restore?
Currently I'm trying to update again to J3.2.3 (standard method), but this also doesn't work at all. (Update bar remains at 0%, nothing happens at all).
So the last possible option seems to take your recommendation regards your CMS update plugin
Sorry to trouble you again.
kind regards
Armin
Update, right after hitting the post-button:

have refreshed the (normal) update page of my site and now the update ran successfully.

Now for the very strange thing again: not only the options change works now, but also: CW Multicategories ist working again.

Don't have the slightest hunch what happens here (maybe 'candid camera?')

I hope we can close this case now.

Many thanks for your help again

kind regards

Armin

Apparently the problem was a failed update. As to why it worked the second time you (re)tried... I have no idea. I wouldn't be surprised if the update failed the first time because of the server timing out while it was downloading the update package.
