 hello!

i received the following mails:

"We would like to notify you that a security exception was detected on your site, KÜHN Sicherheit, with the following details:

IP Address: 46.246.36.160 (IP Lookup: http://ip-lookup.net/index.php?ip=46.246.36.160)
Reason: Login failure (Username: tomciohomcio -- Password: vfr45tgb)"

as i already have protected the admin-area of joomla with a .htaccess-file (working!) i ask myself how this email is produced. i thought that a login is only possible when the person knows the login/password for the .htaccess-protected area. or did i miss something?

greets,
hajo

Hello Hans,

the reason Login failure applies to frontend logins, too.
This means that someone tried too many times to login with wrong credentials and he got banned.
