Quote from admin Tools documentation: "...make sure that plg_admintools is published before all other system plugins. If not, the protection offered will not be thorough."

Admin Tools" plugin is enabled. I clicked on Extensions / Plugin Manager / System - Admin Tools and set Ordering: 0 Order First. I tried to save, but the System - Admin Tools didn´t closed, the abort-button didn´t worked too.
Finally I had to log out, I logged in again. I tried to open the System - Admin Tools Plugin again, but it was not possible anymore. I couldn´t open it again.
Only once a hint appeared at top of plugin list, which said, it is not possible to get direct access to this plugin (sorry, I dont know the correct words anymore). The hint didn´t appeared again.

By the way: When I sort plugins by ordering - it is not first of the System plugins (sort by ordering.).

dlb
When you sort the plugins by "ordering" you should be able to grab the three dots on the far left side of the list and drag the plugin to the position that you want.

It sounds like the plugin is locked, marked by the system as in use by another user. Are you logged in as the same user that you tried to edit the plugin earlier? Usually when you try to edit by the same user it will clear the lock.

Yes, worked. Thank you.

I was logged in as the same user, so I don´t think, it was checked out. I tried several times, without successs.

Anyway, today morning it was possible again to open the the plugin. Maybe some strange cache problem. Seems to be solved.

dlb
It may have been the cache, I don't like things that fix themselves.

If you have any more trouble, just let us know!
