I just updated my AKEEBA Admin Tools Pro using the automatic update tool in Joomla and i now get the Your Admin Tools installation is corrupt message.

After erading other posts I then logged in on Akeeba site and dowmnloaded a full fresh copy in case this was a Joomla update issue, but no after doing an install from the downloaded zip file I still get the same message.

I am now not protectected because I was trying to keep my protection up to date, Ironic?

Any ideas, it is not the plugin file this still has its original name. Any help would me most appreciated.

I think I have fixed it !!!!
1 - switched off all cron Jobs
2 - Unstalled completely and cleared cache
3 - Re-installed from clean downloaded copy
4 - installed again from downloaded copy
5 - refreshed and now it all appears to work

It was saying that none of the folders or files were installed but on investigation they were all there, the only difference between before and now was a cron job that ran a bash script, not related to anything to do with Akeeba but eliminate anything between working and not and it may work.

switched cron back on after install and so far we are running fine. Dont understand why this should have been an issue, maybe you could shed some light on it ?

If the problem comes back, then your host is most likely deleting files from your site without telling you. There are several files dealing with zip and jpa files that sometimes get flagged by host security settings. That makes a little bit of sense. If the problem doesn't come back, that wasn't it.

I can't think of any combination of file permissions that would allow you to uninstall but would not allow you to update. I'm afraid I don't have a good explanation.
