 Hi there, I am experiencing a strange problem that I have not seen before. I have been working on my Joomla website in my office and I can access the back end fine, no problems at all.
I have now gone home but wanted to keep working on my website, however when I go to login to the Joomla back end I cannot get in.

I know that the user and password is correct. All that happens is when I put in my login details is that the form fields go blank and I stay on the login screen at '/administrator' (I don't get any error message at all).

I have tried disabling the 'main.php' file as per your troubleshooting docs (https://www.akeebabackup.com/documentation/troubleshooter/atwafissues.html) but the problem still persists.

Is there something in the newer version of admin tools that only allows access from the IP address that you used to install the software, or something like that?

Please help! Thank you very much in advance.

Once you disable main.php, Admin Tools is no longer functional. You may have a cache issue where main.php still exists in the cache but if your home IP was blocked, you should get the "you are a spammer or bad person" message. I don't think this is caused by Admin Tools.

Clear your browser cache, that causes problems after program updates sometimes. Next, clear your site cookies. Joomla! 3.4.7 had some session problems, but I never heard about them manifesting like this. And the next step is to try from your office to see if it is really your home IP or if it is the site.
