When I open Admin Tools, I now get this alert message:
This version of Admin Tools is over 90 days old. Most likely there is already a newer version available. Please check and apply any upgrades to make sure you get the best protection possible for your site.

Since there is no newer version of AdminTools and there is no expiration date, what gives?

The code that produces that message doesn't think you're on 3.8.3. This could be caused by an incomplete upgrade, but I would expect a different error message from that. Let's start out by installing 3.8.3 twice, back to back, without doing anything else in between. Do not uninstall Admin Tools, that will cause you to lose all of your settings and logs.

This is an "unintended feature" in Admin Tools 3.8.3. A new version will be published this week to correct it.

Okay. I had tried the first instructions - to reload (twice) AdminTools Pro - with no effect. Further, this anomaly occurred on each site where I use AdminTools Pro. Further, it was strange in that this message did not show two days before, when I had updated other software on each Joomla 3.5.1 site and went to AdminTools Pro to run the PHP File Change Scanner. I figured that there must have been a change at the Akeeba updater side.

Don,

I just found out about the bug this morning. My sites are throwing the warning too, but I didn't think to check that on Saturday.
