 Hi Support,

We are using Joomla 3.5.1 with Akeeba admin 2FA, after update to 3.6 then, 2FA code is not allowing to login.

We have already verified the 2FA code is from database user's table.

So how to fix this 2FA issues after update Joomla version from 3.5.1 to 3.6

Thanks for your supporting on this.

Thanks,

nicholas

We have removed Two Factor Authentication from our software nearly 2 years ago. This makes sense since we contributed the 2FA feature to Joomla! itself back in 2012. Ever since 2013 the 2FA feature in Joomla! is maintained by other developers. We have no say and we do NOT contribute code to it the past 3 years.

As a result there's no conceivable way you can use our 2FA with Admin Tools 3.6.8 since this feature does not exist in Admin Tools 3.6.8. Moreover, our own solution never stored 2FA codes in the database, but Joomla's core feature for 2FA does. Therefore it is very clear that you are NOT using Admin Tools' 2FA (a feature removed two years ago) but Joomla's 2FA. As a result what you are asking us is to provide support for a core Joomla feature. As we explicitly state in our Terms of Service we do not provide generic support for Joomla itself. Please use the Joomla! Forum to request support for a core Joomla! feature.
