We've been dealing off and on with a DDOS for the past few months, mostly centered from Russia & the Ukraine. While Admin Tools is helping, the sheer load of requests hitting Joomla is bringing our site down, even with geographic blocking enabled.

To help mitigate this, I've taken to blocking IPs in .htaccess, usually by using cPanel's blocking feature, which adds the Deny line to .htaccess. However, if I then run Admin Tool's .htaccess maker, this gets overwritten.

I realize I can add the Deny requests to the custom rules section, but I would like to suggest for ease of administration a dedicated field / section of the .htaccess tool that allows an admin to easily enter, and maintain, a list of IPs to outright block using .htaccess

Thank you!
