Hi,

I'm posting a separate ticket about this as requested ... I set up PHP File Scanner to send an email after a scan runs, but I'm not getting any such emails. I have it running nightly from a cron job.

I do get an email from the cron utility provided by my host, and the content is both helpful and plainly generated by Admin Tools. But I'm not getting a separate email from Admin Tools itself, as I assume I'm supposed to (because, with Akeeba Backup, which I have set up similarly with regard to emails about running a backup by cron job, I get an email from the cron utility and an email from Akeeba Backup itself).

This is not really a problem in itself. I'm only asking because it suggests something may not be right, and I don't know if there might be another consequence.

Thanks.

Hello Sam,

I just tried and the email was correctly sent.
Can you please double check your spam folder?
I suspect that the email gets filtered due its contents. Moreover, are you sending it to a Gmail address? It has records to completely "ignore" spam emails (ie they do not even touch the spam folder).

Hi Davide,

I'm sorry for the slow reply. I tried to reply once while the support system was closed (and, on that, congratulations to Nicholas!) and then forgot.

I think you are right in whole or in part - I checked and at least some of the emails were indeed trapped by my host's email spam filter. Also, I changed some settings in .htaccess, for another reason, after which the emails began to come through. Not sure I fully understand, but if I need more help with this I'll post another ticket, and I'll go ahead and close this one.

Thanks,

Sam
