Our Joomla website is hosted by GoDaddy. I access Joomla Administration from a home PC that connects to the internet through Comcast. As such, the IP address is assigned by DHCP. Is there a way that I can still utilize the Administrator IP Whitelist in the Web Application Firewall?

In the olden days you used to be able to buy a fixed IP address from Comcast. I have not checked on that for many years. You would have to talk to Comcast about that.

Comcast's dynamic IP addresses do not change as often as some, but they do change. The IP whitelist works best with a fixed address. If you use it with a dynamic address, every time your IP changes, you have to break into your site and update the IP in the whitelist. It isn't rocket science with FTP access and the instructions, but it is a pain.
