 Dear Support,

I need some help in understanding the process. I keep getting the following email message:

"We would like to notify you that a security exception was detected on your site, Refuah Heilung, with the following details:

IP Address: 217.87.215.229 (IP Lookup: IP Lookup)
Reason: Admin Query String

If this kind of security exception repeats itself, please log in to your site's back-end and add this IP address to your Admin Tools's Web Application Firewall feature in order to completely block the misbehaving user."

What I don't understand is that the IP mentioned is my IP and I am getting this email from times at which I most definitely was not online, had no FTP programmes open, etc. Then why am I getting this message? Is there a security issue on my side?

Please advice.

Hello Erich,

this usually happens when you have some browser extension that is trying to fetch a screenshot of the most visited sites.
In this case you should disable it or setup the extra password for the backend: it will fail but since it is served by your server and not by Joomla you won't be banned.
