Hi Nicholas.

I have an integration problem with CB 2.0.15

For exemple, for brute force detection, when an user try to log with a bad password, nothing is write in #_admintools_logs table.
....so the ip autoban don't run of course!

The configuration parameters is the same that another site without CB, where all is perfect.

The admin tools plugin is the 1st of all the system plugins, the 'tret failed logins as security execepion' is set to yes, and nothing is in the administrator ip whitelist.

Have you an idea of this problem ?

Regards.
Roland

Hello,

Admin Tools will look for the event onUserAuthenticateFailure, if CB is not firing this event when the login fails, Admin Tools has no chances to run. That's why it is working on another site using "plain" Joomla authentication.

Hi.

CB said that there aren't onUserAuthenticateFailure trigger on Joomla core...

See : https://www.joomlapolis.com/forum/255-developer-members-support/234873-cb-is-not-firing-onuserauthenticatefailure-event#286443

Sorry, I got the event name wrong.
The events are onLoginFailure or onUserLoginFailure.

Hi Davide.

It's seems that for a good integration with Community Builder, Akeeba Admin Tools will look for the event of CB Core and not of Joomla Core.

So Admin Tools needs a spécific plugin for this component.

Joomlapolis Team (Community Builder) suggests :
"Of course Akeeba also has the option of integrating with CB and acting on CBs onLoginFailed trigger"

Pity that 2 bigs components of Joomla are not designed to work together...

We're integrated with Joomla Core.
In my opinion, if CB replaces the core login feature, it should fire the same events of the core.

Of course, this seems logical...
