I have recently installed an SSL certificate on my site temperaturepro.com. What are the configuration things that I need to do to make certain that this works with Admintool please.

Also, are their an things that I need to be aware of pertaining to how admintools and SSL work together?

Thanks,

Steve

Hello Steve,

You don't really need to do anything. Admin Tools is just a Joomla component. As long as Joomla works with your SSL certificate you're set.

However, there are a few recommended practices to make your site safer by enforcing the SSL encryption.

In Joomla's Global Configuration set "Force SSL" to "Entire site". This will make sure that HTTPS is used throughout.

If you're using Admin Tools' .htaccess Maker please enable the HSTS header option, verify that the HTTPS domain at the bottom of the page is correct and then click on Save and Create .htaccess file. This setting will tell all browsers to never attempt to visit your site over HTTP. Read the Wikipedia page on HSTS to understand the security issues it mitigates.
