 Hi,

I am using a youjoomla template / using the YG simple grid framework. The development site is located here: http://dev.riverheadlibrary.org

I used the htaccess maker and something in the following section is breaking the yg shortcode tool buttons below the editor tool in the backend of the site (see attached). Basically, when you click on any of those buttons, the modal window contains a 404 error. There appear to be no issues on the front end of the site. Here is the section that is causing the problem:

I opened ticket at the template developer's site, but thought it would be a good idea to reach out to you. They suggested I reinstall the template's framework plugin - but this did not correct the problem

Any ideas? i tried updating the htaccess file section by section inorder to determine where exact problem lies, but have been unsuccessful in nailing it down

Once upon a time Yoo did evil things and we had to add security exceptions to make their software work. Recently they have done a lot of work to make their software more security friendly. If there is an update for your template or framework, that would be the preferred solution. Eliminating the security issue is better than working around it. I know that isn't always possible.

What is most likely happening is that they are making a direct call to a php file instead of going through Joomla!'s index.php file. This would be blocked and you would get 403 or 404 errors or problems getting the software to work. The instructions for finding exactly what needs to be added to make it work are here: https://www.akeebabackup.com/documentation/troubleshooter/athtaccessexceptions.html. Note that there may be multiple files involved so even after you fix one, you may have to continue to search for more issues.
