After going through different parts of the ATPRO documentation (most of it, the .htaccess maker part), I have to post here my question:

Last night I applied several options to the .htaccess maker; everything went as expected, which means I had to spend a few hours triying lots of options. Still had work to do on the .htaccess maker, which I planned for today. But when I tried to enter my site this morning, I got this message on the screen:

Database Error: Unable to connect to the database:Could not connect to MySQL

I believed the very last thing I did, was on the "Optimisation and utility" section. Before I went to sleep, I logged off and logged in several times, at least to the backend of my site (regarding the frontend, I did have problems, that´s why I say I still needed to work on it).

Already removed the .htaccess file, but still can´t get to the site (neither backend nor frontend). The site is off/line in Global configuration.

Can you give an advice on this? I guess if I alreadey removed the .htaccess file, with no results, then maybe the problem is not on the .htaccess maker... but where, then?
Thanks.

I can't see how Admin Tools could cause this. There are two possibilities:
1. Your MySQL server is down, but I assume that by now it should be up again unless the host has a major issue
2. Check your configuration.php file. Do you see the fields host, user, password, db and dbprefix having non empty values? These are your database connection details. If they are non-empty and you have not changed them, it's your MySQL server which is down. If they have been emptied or changed, you have to supply your database connection details in there. FYI, the only way to change them is either editing the file directly or mistyping something in your site's Global Configuration.

Thanks for replying so fast!

I don´t think it´s a host problem since I have several other test sites and they´re all fine.

I checked the Configuration php file, and the fields that you mention are non empty. I can´t tell if they´re the right ones, but I know for sure that I have not changed them in any way.

Is there exists another possibility of get them changed? Or where do I find the database connection details, so I can compare them?

Thank you.

You might have inadvertently changed your database connection details on your hosting panel. Or they were reset by your host. In any case, please ask your host about the proper way to find our your database login credentials. This is a completely host-specific process, so I can't help unless your host is the same as mine (Rochen).

Once you do find them, you can then edit the configuration.php and set those fields to the proper connection settings for your site to work.

I´ll do as you say.
Thnx for helping as much as possible in this matter, which is not really Admin Tools related.
