Mandatory information about my setup:

Have I read the related troubleshooter articles above before posting (which pages?)? No
Have I searched the forum before posting? YES
Have I read the documentation before posting (which pages?)? YES
Joomla! version: 1.5.23
PHP version: 5.2.6-1+lenny13
MySQL version: 5.0.51a
Host: Linux
Admin Tools Professional version: 2.1.1

Description of my issue:

I am receiving this error notice:

//
403 - An error has occurred.

Access Denied!
//

Every time I try to make a change to a user via J!'s standard user management console. I can create a user, but cannot change anything to do with the user.

I have followed ALL steps from this post here:
https://www.akeebabackup.com/support/forum/topic/27446-just-up-dated-admin-tools-core-20-and-got-a-403-access-denied/44904.html

Without success. Can you please advise what I'm missing? This is consistent across several of my other sites runing identical setups so I'd LOVE to solve this asap!

Cheers guys,

Geomac

I'm experiencing the same error. If I want to switch from one user to save the editor comes with error 403. Turn to the plugin and the component of the admin tools from everything going again.

Cheers... ;)

vergessen...

Joomla! version: 1.6.4
Admin Tools Professional version: 2.1.2

a way to convert it:
Admin Tools disable the plugin in the plugins, then customize the user and save and then activate the plugin again. 've Just tested that way and it went like this. Seems to be even a small problem with the plugin.

Good luck only once ...

LoL! No problem :) Everything I've written in the Troubleshooting Wizard started its life as a reply I would write over and over again on this forum, then make it into a canned reply which I copied & pasted to the forum, finally graduating it as a troubleshooter article. In short, if you have a question there's a very good chance that it's already in the troubleshooter ;)

I'll second that apology, problem is now fixed - I was pretty sure I had read that list in the WAF Config window pretty thoroughly too - thanks though Nicholas for helping out nonetheless!

Keep up the good work.

Hi Nicolas,

Once again I must say thank you for the details provided, regarding this issue. I had exactly the same issue on my website, where I was able to create new users, but no Administrators or above.
Made the changes and it's working fine. This is a great feature to protect my website administrators.

Thanks
Thomas
