I've never seen that on a live site, but I am pretty sure what that is. It's a plugin not being able to register itself. If you unpublish the "System - Admin Tools" plugin, do these go away? If they do, there would seem to be a conflict on your site, but I don't think VM is to blame (I've tested Admin Tools Pro with VM 1.x and they don't conflict).

I had the same issue, I installed my back-up onto a local server using MAMP and got an error code on ever page:

JDispatcher::register: Event handler not recognized.

On some pages this message was repeated 5 or 6 times. The day before my restore I had upgraded ADMIN tools and sh404sef, switching off the ADMIN tools plugin made no difference.

However when I looked at sh404sef, they had another upgrade. I upgraded to the latest version, and bingo problem went away.

It's tricky knowing whether to upgrade immediately for security issues to to hold back for stable versions. Got to love the internet!

JDispatcher::register: Event handler not recognized.
sh404sef upgrade to 2.4.4.1017 FIXED issue

* Updating sh404sef on the LOCAL server didn't work - I had to update on remote server, make a new back-up and the re-install locally.

Ah, that makes sense :) I was sure it wasn't Admin Tools, but I didn't know you had also upgraded sh404SEF before Admin Tools. I'm glad it's working now.

Did the update complete successfully on the local server? It's very possible that some files never got written to disk or the sh404SEF plugin (which seems to cause this issue) was never updated. That explains why backing up the live site and restoring it locally worked.

Hello Nicholas,

I had to switch to the standard installer on the local server as the auto-akeeba restore point back-up couldn't kick-in with the local configuration. I'm pretty sure the sh404sef update installed fully after that. But I wonder if it partially installed on the first attempt.

Funny that admin tools and sh404sef had updates on the same day. I only got the errors on the local site, remote site didn't get any.
