Mandatory information about my setup:

Have I searched the tickets before posting? yes
Have I read the documentation before posting (which pages?)? yes
Joomla! version: 2.5.1
PHP version: (unknown)
MySQL version: (unknown)
Host: (optional, but it helps us help you)
Admin Tools version: 2.2.a3

Description of my issue:

I've installed the K2 Content Filter and Search Module, see http://joomcar.net/

When filtering/searching with non-English characters, the search result is null/empty. According to the author, the module should have no problem with non-latin characters. Is there any chance that the AdminTools has anything to do with this?

I can tell you for sure that Admin Tools doesn't block non-latin characters. If Admin Tools had anything to do with it, then the module would never work, no matter if your query has non-latin characters or not. I would suspect a problem with your page or database encoding as the most likely source of issues.
