Have I searched the tickets before posting? Yes
Admin Tools version: 2.2.0

Additional thought to Ticket #10084

Since the front-end template folder is now allowed as a default exception, could the back-end template folder be a default as well, please?

administrator/templates
templates

You are wrong about that. The default setting in Admin Tools 2.2.0 reads:
templates/your_template_name

Unless your installed and active site template is called "your_template_name", the site's template is certainly NOT in the default exceptions list. You have to edit that exception and type in your template name.

Also note that the entire templates directory used to be included in the default exceptions list of earlier versions (2.1.x) but it was rolled back due to security concerns. Therefore adding it back and making it worse by also adding administrator/templates is not something I am willing to do. I try to increase your site's security, not decrease it :)

Besides, this is exactly why the list of exceptions is customisable. If you have a back-end template which needs direct access to PHP files (it shouldn't!!!!!), you can add it in the exceptions list manually.
