Hello,

I have admin tool configure at a website and it keeps blocking out someone automatically. I have a secret key configured and I have a IP Whitelist configured. But still the user keeps getting blocked automatically.
I do have the whitelist feature enabled (think that overrules the secret key feature?). I also entered the users IP to the 'Never block from this IP' feature. But still it doesn't work. What am I doing wrong?

You are correct, adding the IP to the "Never block" list should exempt it from being blocked. Note that this only works with fixed IP addresses, not dynamic addresses.

Let's make sure that the problem IP has been deleted from the Security Exceptions Log, the Automatically Blocked IP History list and make sure that it is not temporarily or permanently blocked. If the system already thinks the IP is a problem, "Never block" may be confused.

In the Security Exceptions Log, what is the reason for this IP being blocked?

The IP is static but somehow it's displayed weird in Admin Tools. The reason for blocking is 'IP White List'. Which is weird? The IP is not in the history.

Now I get it! That's not a weird IP, that's an IP6 format IP address. Let's try pasting that into the white list.

Too bad.. that didn't work also. Apparently the person who keeps getting blocked has a dynamic IP address so I can't use this feature.
Oh well... I disabled the entire firewall now. I know.. not the right solution but I don't have any other options anymore I think

You don't need to disable the entire firewall, just disable the IP whitelist. It is an optional feature that does not work well with dynamic IP addresses. You can't use that particular part of Admin Tools.
