Hello

I can’t find in AdminTools documentation the section that explains how to delimit AdminTools functions/options to the domain name top-level, in other words how to make sure that AdminTools does not act on folders that contain other domains and subdomains that are at the same level of the main site.
Could you please give me information where this argument is addressed in AdminTools documentation?

Thank you

Hello,

Admin Tools system plugin only works inside the Joomla site it is installed (ie not in any other site).
In the Htaccess Maker, instead, the only thing you have to change is to add your subdomain folder inside the field Allow direct access, including .php files, to these directories.
In this way main site Admin Tools won't affect other sites.

Hello,
I think that I misspoke... currently AdminTools is installed only in subdomains (these are test sites).
Folders that contain these subdomains are inside the main domain.

How to make sure that settings that will be applied to the main domain will not be applied also to the subdomains ... I don't know if I was clear enough ...

Thank you again,

Lorenzo

That's even simpler.
Admin Tools system plugin: will only affect the current site since it's installed inside Joomla
Htaccess Maker: .htaccess file are executed hierarchically, so any "child" .htaccess can't affect any "parent" site or .htaccess

So don't worry, you're good to go ;)
