#30617 No more password in the logs ?

Everybody will be able to see its contents. Do not include usernames, passwords or any other sensitive information.

Hi akeeba team,
In previous version of AT, passwords AND usernames were logged in the "Security Exceptions Log". Now, only username are still logged.
It was very useful to have the password as I could say to my customer why he could not log (i.e. : Wrong password :)...
I assume it is a security or RGPD question that password are not log any more ?
I just want to be confirmed that I'm not missing a parameter somewhere...
Thanks for any advice...

Hello,

yes, you are right.
Accordingly to GDPR, we can not store the password used by user, sorry.
Anyway, you can still see the reason of the block and double check with the user if they are using the correct password.
