I've installed Admin Tools, but apparently I use dynamic IP address. Is it possible to white list this? For example, 134.196.*.* ?

Use a dynamic DNS provider such as DynDNS. This will give you a dynamic domain name, e.g. example.dyndns.info, which points to your dynamically allocated IP address. You will probably have to set up your router or a client programme on your computer to update the IP the dynamic domain name points to every time your IP changes.

Now go to Admin Tools. In the new IP Whitelist record instead of an IP put an at-sign followed by your dynamic domain name, e.g. @example.dyndns.info This tells Admin Tools to try and resolve the domain name to an IP address and use that as the whitelist record. On most servers these DNS queries are cached which means that you will only get a performance hit (around 0.3 seconds) once every 1 to 10 minutes, when the DNS cache for this dynamic domain name expires. This performance hit only applies on backend access and whenever there is a security exception. You are unlikely to even notice it.
