Hi,

The database table _filecache and _scanalerts have become very large, 20 MB each. Can I reduce the size of this tables without security issues and how can I do it?

Thanks

The filecache table contains information about your files (location and hashes). It may also have a copy of the contents of the file if you chose to generate diffs. You cannot delete anything in there, it would break the PHP File Change Scanner feature (it would report all files as just added). You can disable the option to generate diffs, empty the table and run a new scan to reduce its size in Megabytes, not number of rows.

The scanalerts table contains the information about each scan's results. You can go to the Admin Tools interface and delete all scans except the last one to drastically reduce the size of that table.
