Hello,
is it possible with Admin Tools to block a domain request?

Here is my problem: I have a page that loads very slowly because a css file refers to a domain that no longer exists. I spent hours to find where this reference is written in Joomla without achieving it.

I am guessing that I have developed this website on some temporary domain ( https://newtoukoulj3.toukoul.be ) and then I have migrated it to the real domain. During that process, this resource URLs wasn't migrated properly.

I’ve tried to block this domain request with Chrome DevTools and the page loads correctly.

Is it possible to reproduce this with Admin Tools

Thank you,

Lorenzo

No, you cannot do that. Based on the file path it looks like it has to do with your template. I think you should ask the template people for help. Probably you need to reset some cache the template is using with the locations of the CSS files.

…hmmm, that’s problematic, it's an old template and the site will be rebuilt from scratch at the end of the year, I no longer have a valid subscription with the template editor.

There is not another workaround for a problem like this?

Thank you anyway,

I just realized that despite what you said you want to do (block a request to a domain) what you actually need to do is rewrite that URL to use your new domain name. We can do that.

Go to Components, Admin Tools, SEO and Link Tools. Set Enable link migration to Yes. In the "Old locations (domain names)" text area put the old domain name in a new line:
newtoukoulj3.toukoul.be

Then click on Save.

Remember to clear your Joomla and browser cache.

...thank you Nicholas for your answer, I didn’t try your solution because thanks to Cavo789's script I succeeded in identify where was the address which prevented the loading of the page, anyway I note your solution on my notebook for next use.

Thank you again :)
