I've searched akeebabackup.com and found information about problems with .htaccess in relation to LiteSpeed but some of that information is really old so I'm not sure what's relevant now. I would just like to know how to best use AdminTools with LiteSpeed since my host is switching from Apache to LiteSpeed on their servers right now.

1) Is there a special doc on how to configure AdminTools for LiteSpeed or will it work exactly the same as it did on Apache, please?

2) My host has adviced to use the "LiteSpeed Cache for Joomla" extension. Is that compatible with AdminTools or will it cause problems?

I'm attaching a htaccess.txt here in case you need to see the settings used.

1. You don't need anything special for LiteSpeed. It's supposed to support the same .htaccess file syntax as Apache. My sites on Rochen have always been on LiteSpeed. I can confirm it works just fine.

2. While it does not cause any problems with Admin Tools I very strongly recommend against using it. This plugin is completely broken. It disregards the caching headers sent by Joomla on every page request. At best it will cause some pages in your frontend to appear outdated no mater what how hard you try to clean the cache. In extreme cases it may cause data leaks, e.g. if you have any e-commerce application or -- worse -- if you have any private members area with member-specific, private content such as a private ticket system. To add insult to injury, we found that the speed gains were usually not that great either. Much more speed were to be had by hand-coding a template instead of using a template framework that loads half the known PHP universe at the server side and about two quadrillion JavaScript files on the client side. You can try the plugin on some of the smaller sites and see how it works for you.
