I have a question about the CSRF Shield. I am an Administrator for more than 50 sites. With only one do I have this problem.

Everyday for the last 6 weeks this site is being attacked about 15+ times a day from IP addresses all around the world. I get notices of a CSRF Shield attempt all day long. The attacked URL is a RSJoomla Contact form and the software is up-to-date.

My questions are:
What is the best way to stop this continuation of attack? Ban all attacking IP's?

Has the attack gone through or has Admintools blocked the attack?

I have looked up the IP addresses and most are known attacker IP's and are presently on Blacklists.

I know having too many IP's banned can adversely effect the performance of the site. Again, what is the best action to mitigate this problem. I have been using Admintools for many years now and this is the first time anything on this scale has occurred.

Thanks for your help.

The attacks listed in the Security Exceptions Log have been stopped. You can't make them stop trying to hack your site, but you can keep them from being successful - and you have already done that.

Hackers don't use their own IP addresses, so banning IPs is usually not a valid strategy. You use the temporary ban to slow down the bot, then use the permanent ban for IPs that are used and banned over and over. As you already know, too many banned IP addresses will slow down your site.

There is really nothing more you can do except wait for the bot to get bored and go bother someone else.
