Hello, a strange thing is happening on my site. I always use your .htaccess maker to set the www to non-www but on this site it's not possible to set this. The dropdown is greyed out and cannot be set. See attachement.

I've never seen this before. I tried replacing the file but am stuck.

Thanks

dlb
That is a new feature, see https://www.akeebabackup.com/download/admintools/5-6-0.html. It is intended to prevent a conflict between your .htaccess file commands and the setting in $live_site in the configuration.php file.

So what is the solution? Remove the live site entry or change it to https like the site is set to? I could use a workaround.

DaveOzric
I removed the live site entry, but sometimes it's needed for some reason? Not sure why I had it in there to begin with.

dlb
I'm sorry. Remove the value in $live_site, make it an empty string. The $live_site variable is almost never required in Joomla!. It is only needed in the very rare case where your server does not report the proper site name. It actually causes more trouble than it solves problems.

Got it, all set, thanks for your help.

Guess I should read the release notes next time.
