EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:

Hello - I moved a site from one account to another on host gator. I use Akeeba Backup to backup my sites and then use the post processing to an FTP server in my office. This worked fine on the original account and stopped working when I moved it. When I go to the post processing section I am able to successfully Test FTP connection. I worked with Host Gator and provided them the section of the log file here:

[140311 02:27:18] Loading post-processing engine object (ftp)
[140311 02:27:18] Beginning post processing file <root>/administrator/components/com_akeeba/backup/site-www.babawashington.org-20140311-032503.zip
[140311 02:27:18] AEPostprocFtp:: Connecting to remote FTP
[140311 02:28:49] Failed to process file <root>/administrator/components/com_akeeba/backup/site-www.babawashington.org-20140311-032503.zip
[140311 02:28:49] Error received from the post-processing engine:
[140311 02:28:49] Uploading <root>/administrator/components/com_akeeba/backup/site-www.babawashington.org-20140311-032503.zip has failed.
[140311 02:28:49] Not removing processed file <root>/administrator/components/com_akeeba/backup/site-www.babawashington.org-20140311-032503.zip
[140311 02:28:49] ----- Finished operation 1 ------
[140311 02:28:49] Successful Smart algorithm on AECoreDomainFinalization

They analyzed it and responded with the following saying that the script is stopping before it tries to upload the file. Here is their response:

Hello,

Reviewing the stack trace I am showing that the Akeeba process fails before it attempts to load the zip file into memory:

After it reports the above failure messages the script then begins to load the zip file into memory. You will need to contact the Akeeba developers to investigate why their script is failing before it attempts to load the file into memory as this is beyond our scope of support. However, if you are asked to make any server side changes or do any server side testing we will gladly assist you with this.

-------------
This is beyond my knowledge level but I hope you understand it and can provide some feedback for me.

Thanks.

Neil.

I'm not an FTP expert and I don't really follow what HostGator support was trying to tell you. There are two major issues when post processing fails:
  1. The login isn't right
  2. The part size is too big
I can't see how big the archive is from the snippet of log that you posted, but let's try reducing the part size under Configure, Archiver engine, Settings. Set it to 5 or 10 Mb to test, if it is successful we can increase it until we see failures again and we know we're found the max file size.
