EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:

Read the article about: Upload to Remote FTP server

I am just wondering, shouldn´t you use some kind of encrytion, when using the FTP upload function? I guess you are transfering all your data and passwords etc.

Hello Regin,

first of all, if you want to protect your data, you should encrypt your archives using a password and not rely on the transfer method only.
Said that, if you want extra security you should use FTPS: the whole connection is made using the SSL protocol, that encrypts all the data transferred.
