EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:
I am starting the backup using a cron job, but it fails with the message: PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 26227092 bytes) in /path_removed/proc/webdav.php on line 255

So it seems to crash when trying to transfer the backup files to the cloud. If I run the same profile in the backend it is working fine, no memory problem, so that's why I'm puzzled as to why memory seems to be a problem running from CLI.

I can't tell what your part size is set to from the log file, but you're getting the memory error on the upload. You need to try the backup with a smaller part size.

I can't explain why it works from the back end. You may have different memory limitations on the PHP CGI program than you do on PHP CLI.

That worked. The parts were set at 25Mb. I lowered it to 20Mb, still crashed. To 10mb, it passed. 15Mb, Passed. Peak memory usage: 26.59 Mb

So I left it at 15Mb. It does create many files per backup though :-/

In the backend, PHP has 256Mb available. Seems the php.ini file doesn't apply to CLI configuration?

Problem solved though. Thanks!

You are welcome!

I'm sure php.ini applies, but a different php.ini.
