EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:

Hi

I tried to use Akeeba Pro for a backup on a local Server. I did this a thousand times before without any problems (normaly;-) . but now, when i try to make a backup it seeems to work but the file is only 1.5 Mb.

I use the "default profile" (backup the whole site with db)

Thank you for helping
Christoph

Christoph,

You are correct, the files are being excluded.
  1. On the Akeeba Backup Control Panel page, go to Files and Directories Exclusion. The first line should not have any of the icons "colored". They should not be selected for exclusion. If you do not have anything that you want excluded, you can just press the Reset all filters button at the top.
  2. Go to the Joomla! Global Configuration screen, on the Server tab, make sure the Path to Temp Folder field does not point to the root of your site.

Hi Dale

Thank you very much.
That was the Point! The path to the Temp Folder was empty.

Cheers
Christoph

Christoph,

The temp folder is automatically excluded from the backup. Joomla! must have assumed the root folder of your site should be the temp folder, so Akeeba excluded everything.

I'm glad it is working now.
