EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:
Hello,
since my previous ticket has been closed I have to open another with the same subject... or maybe can you reopen?
Anyway I continue to receive errors, I think the problem is Dropbox… maybe I need to try with another service?

You get the script timeout and/or gateway errors because the upload takes too long. It's exactly what is described in the last two paragraphs of https://www.akeebabackup.com/documentation/akeeba-backup-documentation/step-by-step-guides.html#how-to-cloud-backup-basic-config

A simple way to try to fix this is go to the Configuration page, Post-procesing Engine, click on Configure next to it and set:
• Enable chunk upload: Yes
• Chunk size: 5.00

If this still results in errors you have a really slow connection to Dropbox. Your only alternative is breaking up the backup to small files (1-2Mb) and uploading each one of them separately to Dropbox. If you are interested in doing so again from the Configuration page find the Archive Engine row, click on Configure next to it and set the Part Size for Split Archives to 2.00 or 1.00.

If this still doesn't help then your connection to Dropbox is either being blocked by the server or unrealistically slow so yes, you should try using a different service.

For what it's worth we're also hosted on SiteGround and we're using Amazon S3. It's really fast. We can upload around 25 to 30 MB per minute to S3.

Hello and thank you for these clarifications, …so I'll try with the new chunk size setting otherwise I'll try Amazon S3 service.

Thank you again
