Hello Nicholas,
i just tried first time backup to remote ftp and it worked perfectly. As i want to make always 2 copies, one remote per ftp and the other local in a backukp folder not accessible via web (upper from "www"-dir), i saw that the local copy will stay always in the akeeba componente sub dirs. Is it possible to change this to my own backup directory outside from www-dir? (Just as it is normal possible with standard local copies).
Thanks for help!
kind regards,
Johannes

Johannes,

Yes it is possible. You can go to the Configuration screen and change the Output folder to the location above www where you want the backup stored. The backup archive and log file will then be stored directly in that location.

Note that the Output folder is set per profile, so if you have multiple profiles you will need to set it in each profile.

Hello Dale,
thank you very much for the fast response, it works. I have overseen that i must set the output folder per profile.
kind regards,
Johannes
