EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:

Severity: CRITICAL/SHOWSTOPPER

I have just performed a full backup and restore to a fresh new server using kickstart and have run into the following problem.

Cannot log into Admin as Super User.

Fatal error: Class 'Akeeba\Engine\Platform' not found in
/home/xxxxxxxxx/public_html/plugins/quickicon/akeebabackup/akeebabackup.php on line 198

There are related open issues that still have the same problem going back almost 1 year. Please fix this. We cannot use a development or untested version of this software in a production environment.

The fact we can't login to our Admin consoles means this software has no value to us at the moment.

Please advise accordingly.

The QuickIcon is obsolete, they are not used in modern versions of Joomla!. You should rename /home/xxxxxxxxx/public_html/plugins/quickicon/akeebabackup/akeebabackup.php to prevent it from executing then you should be able to log in. You should disable the plugin when you get back into the back end to prevent future problems. You will note that the plugin name includes "Obsolete" to try to keep folks from enabling it. That doesn't always work.

Great thank-you that resolved my problem.

Its worth mentioning that this site was recently upgraded from Joomla 2.5 to 3.4.5
