Although everything looks to work right in backuping and restoring, this boring annoying alarming message appears again and agains since last update to 4.4.3 in all my localhost sites.

Not when they are out there in hosting account.

WARNING

Akeeba Backup could not determine the permissions of the media/com_akeeba directory.

Please do one of the following:

Activate Joomla!'s FTP mode in Global Configuration

Change the permissions of the media/com_akeeba directory and all of its subdirectories to 0755 and all of its files to 0644 using your FTP client.

Akeeba Backup will most likely not work at all if you do not perform these steps. Do not ask for support if you can see this message. All the information you need is already on this message.

Akeeba Staff
Hello,

this means that the permissions of your media/com_akeeba folder are not correct and Akeeba Backup could not require all the media files.
You have to change the permissions of your media folder and then you're good to go.
Since you're on a Mac on localhost, you can easily set the permissions to 0777 to your media folder.
