EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:

Hello! Great great great components. The Joomla world owes a lot to you. Thank you.

We have a pretty bad situation with one of our sites. At some point the site got corrupted. Akeeba backups had been failing for sometime - not sure how long - we had it set to a certain number of backups to keep and it deleted all our good backups. (sigh)

Our dedicated server at IMH was supposed to be backing us up, too, but we discovered today that their system wasn't working. In fact, it deleted all our current files when they tried to restore. (grrrr) Thus we don't have an Akeeba log file.

Bottom line - I have one(!) backup from 2.19.16, but...

• It won't extract completely with the Akeeba Extract Wizard - the error it gives is "Invalid archive format." after extracting quite a few files (but sadly, no mysql file).

• And it won't restore on the website - it fails during the Extracting phase.

Help!

Is there any possibility you could take a look at/fix this archive? We even tried the FTP restore from your suggested workarounds, but no luck.

I can post the jpa and j01 files where you could download them. Thanks.

Hello Gary,

sadly there's very little we can do: all the possible workarounds are already included in Kickstart when you check the option Ignore most errors.
That said, did you try to extract the archive using Kickstart and flagging such option?
