EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:

I fixed my issue by following instructions and removing files and one directory that were causing issues. The back up now runs. However my next issue is; How critical to the restoring of the site (if needed) are the files and directory that were removed from the back up ?

This is a list of what is excluded; File: /core.18097 61.3 Mb, File: /core.32425 61.24 Mb, File: /core.48168 61.55 Mb, File: /TID1587364.tar.gz 2023.05 MB and UNZIP//TID1587364.tar.gz 2023.05 MB

Should I have tackled this another way or will my site restore if required without the above files?

Thank you.

Hello John,

looking at the filenames, those aren't part of the core of Joomla, nor any other extension.
I think they are some old manual backup of your site.
If you ever need to restore your site, I think they won't be necessary
