EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue: When moving a site from localhost to the server I noticed when kickstart first loads after the extraction where it gives the rundown of the server properties, down under site information it is reporting this is a Wordpress 3.5.1 site rather than a Joomla 3.5.1 site. Not sure how to interpret this as the explanation says the information represents the configuration of the server I am restoring to. I am not restoring to a Wordpress server and have never heard of such a thing? Not a deal breaker but threw me for a loop seeing this. For some reason kickstart is seeing the Joomla install package as a WordPress install package? Is there perhaps a Wordpress kickstart that I downloaded by mistake? I tried to find out but I only see one kickstart file to download. Anyway, might be worth a look and see why it reports a WordPress version instead of a Joomla version.

I can understand your confusion. The problem is actually in the installer script, Kickstart has finished its work at that point. The backup restoration in 5.0.4 is broken due to a packaging issue, a couple of WordPress files sneaked into the Joomla! restore script.

However you can still restore your backups, you have to manually delete the files installation/platform/steps.php and installation/platform/iniprocess.php. Then use the Restart button on the restore screen.

That should do the trick, a new version is expected to be released soon.
