Description of my issue: I'm running one of my pages on a Synology NAS DS 1511+. This works just fine. I would like to do backups with the cron possibiliy from Synology unfortunately there are no log files on the Synology why it it not running. But I get a mail with the following content.

I can't run an ALICE since there is simply nothing in Akeeba Backup.

Unfortunately this doesn't tell me anything. Can you read something out of these lines that could help me find the problem. The job is run at 11:00 every day.

I was running a front end job on the very system with watchful.li but it didn't work really reliable.

Thank you

Roger,

The output from the CRON suggests that it is talking to Joomla!, which suggests that the CRON job is set up correctly. Does the backup job produce a backup log in Akeeba Backup?

Dale,

Thanks for your answer. There isn't anything in the Joomla backend inside the Akeeba Backup. I had a look at the files inside the backup directory, but same there can't find anything. No log files. Is there some other location I can have a look?

Also inside the Synology logs isn't anything. I just turned a setting on that could produce additional output. I will inform you tomorrow after the run 11:00 GMT +1.

Regards

Roger

The output you got from the CLI script tells me that it died while trying to load the backup engine. This is an indication that the CLI script was not installed properly. Please try installing Akeeba Backup 5.1.1 twice in a row, without uninstalling it before or in between. The CLI backup should now work.

If it doesn't, check the Manage Backups page for the View Log button next to your backup attempt, click it and then click on the Download Log to get the log as a .txt file. Put it in a ZIP file and attach it here so that Dale can take a look.
