Website 2:
  • Akeeba version: 4.7.3
    Joomla version: 2.5.28
    Back-up Cron job time: 1:40 PST
    Back-ups which are not transferred to AWS (Day): 07/20/2016 ; 07/10/2016 ; 07/09/2016; 07/05/2016

Website 3:
  • Akeeba version: 5.1.2
    Joomla version: 3.5.1
    Back-up Cron job time: 6:20 PST
    Back-ups which are not transferred to AWS (Day): 07/06/2016 ; 07/01/2016 ; 06/30/2016;

Website 4:
  • Akeeba version: 5.1.0

That's nothing to do with our software and everything to do with your host, their upstream (Internet connectivity) providers and Amazon itself. If at any point the communication between your server and Amazon S3 is disrupted the upload fails.

We used to have this intermittent problem ourselves when we were hosted with Rochen. Backups would fail to transfer anywhere between twice a week to once every 3 months. Once we switched to SiteGround this problem stopped. Our backups are transferred twice a day, every single day, ever since we are using SiteGround. So it's definitely an issue with the host and their upstream providers. Sorry :(
