Hi,
Short question exctually. :)

I have installed some cronjobs for automated backups.

I would like to have backup each 10 days : overwritting the last one is this possible?
And how do I config this.

Ronald,

Ronald,

If this is part of a larger backup strategy, that is fine. But if you are only keeping one backup archive, that makes me nervous.
You can never have too many backups or have them stored in too many places.

You would set up your CRON job to trigger every 10 days. In the backup configuration, under Quota Management, set the quota for one backup. Note that the old backup will not be deleted until the new one is complete, so you will have two at one brief point in time.

Hi Dale,

Well the idea is to keep at least 3 backups of each site each 10 days. Where the oldest should be removed. (the third one).

How do I configure this?

kind regards

dlb
Ronald,

As I understand it, you are backing up every 10 days and you want to keep 3 backups. For the purposes of the quota, the 10 days is not relevant. Just set the quota to keep 3 backups. When the fourth backup completes, the first will be deleted.

The quotas are per profile, so if you are using multiple profiles on a site, that can lead to more backups than you expect. If you alternate between profile #1 and profile #2, you would end up with 6 backups, three from each.
