Mandatory information about my setup:

Have I read the related troubleshooter articles above before posting (which pages?)? Yes

Have I read the documentation before posting (which pages?)? Yes
Joomla! version: 2.5.1
PHP version: 5.3.9
MySQL version: 5.1.56
Host: Rochen
Akeeba Backup version: 3.3.13

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:
Clicking on Transfer archive in the Administer backup files brings up a popup window with a flashing message with the text along the lines of please wait this can take some time. After which nothing else is happening.

The backend log file contains these lines:
[120207 09:27:18] Kettenrad :: Attempting to load from database (backend)
[120207 09:27:18] -- Stored Akeeba Factory (backend) not found - hard reset

The running of the backup itself goes fine. I don't see any JS errors and looking at the source of the popup window, it's an empty body.

The empty body occurs if the upload process timeouts. Please note that when you are trying to upload an archive through a web interface you are bound by the PHP and Apache timeout restrictions. You have to use adequately small part sizes, otherwise the upload will fail with a timeout. It's best to try using a smaller part size for split archive (could be as small as 2Mb, it depends on your server's settings and the speed of the FTP uplink) and retry backing up.

LoL!! Join the club! I am one of the biggest goofs ever. At one point I wasted 2 hrs trying to debug an FTP issue, but my real problem was that I had exceeded the quota I had forgotten I had set :p
