Description of my issue: I'm getting the (intermittent) broken pipe problem with uploads to Amazon S3 (more often on larger uploads). I saw the ticket where someone asked about this and it was a limitation of their hosting service. We host our own sites on our own servers with virtual machines - I just need to know what, specifically, to tell the system administrator to change, to fix the problem.

Thanks,
Tamar

Hi Tamar,

Please try following our troubleshooting instructions first. Usually turning off the multipart upload and the upload immediately options works around those errors. AFAIK, these are caused by Amazon dropping the connection on their end. I have no idea why. I do follow their API and, as you noticed, the problem is intermittent.
